The Name Ganjar Had Appeared At The National Working Meeting, PAN Considers Appointing As A Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - PAN is considering carrying Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate (candidate). Ganjar's name was known to have appeared during the PAN National Working Meeting in Semarang.

The PAN Expert Council, Drajad Wibowo, said that seeing the growing votes during the PAN National Working Meeting, many voting rights holders named Ganjar Pranowo as presidential candidate and the name Erick Thohir as vice presidential candidate.

"There are those who lean towards other names, but those two names are the most mentioned," said Drajad, Thursday, April 27.

Therefore, Drajad said, the aspirations of the voting rights holders would certainly be taken into consideration by the General Chairperson of PAN Zulkifli Hasan alias Zulhas. PAN Party Advisory Council (MPP) chairman Hatta Rajasa, Chairman of the Honorary Council of PAN Soetrisno Bachir and himself.

"Of course, as often conveyed by the chairman in various forums, he will also discuss with the president, the other political party leaders, and PAN stakeholders," said Drajad.

However, Drajat admitted that the PAN National Working Meeting on February 26, 2023 has not yet produced a decision regarding the names of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates that PAN will carry. Therefore, he said, formally PAN has not carried out the presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

Today, PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan is scheduled to hold a meeting with the Head of Golkar and the Head of PPP to discuss the presidential and vice-presidential candidates promoted by KIB. The plan is for the meeting to be held at Airlangga Hartarto's official residence at the Widya Chandra complex, Jakarta, Thursday 27 April at 19.00 WIB.
