JAKARTA - GAPE Volunteers (Ganjar Pranowo President) held a thanksgiving after their champion was chosen by the PDI-P chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri as a presidential candidate. The thanksgiving event was held right across from the Jakarta International Stadium, Jakarta, precisely on the banks of Lake Ring.

Hundreds of participants consisting of residents and volunteers enlivened the event. They were late in joy after Ganjar was announced to be a presidential candidate by Megawati who was accompanied by President Joko Widodo.

"We, from the GAPE volunteers, welcome Mr. Ganjar Pranowo, who has been appointed as a presidential candidate by the PDI-P," said GAPE Volunteer Chair Dedi Ahmad, Friday, April 21.

Dedi said that the determination of Ganjar as a presidential candidate to be promoted by the PDI-P is a positive thing for the Indonesian people. This is because his party considers Ganjar to be the right person to continue Jokowi's various strategic plans for Indonesia.

"We are ready to go to the field to win Ganjar in the 2024 presidential election. We are scattered at various points in Jakarta and will develop in other areas ahead of the presidential election in 2024," he said.

Furthermore, Dedi said Ganjar Pranowo was a figure who had a myriad of very proud achievements. The Governor of Central Java for two periods has succeeded in running the wheels of government in Central Java very well and successfully.

Not only that, Ganjar is also considered successful in building Central Java into an advanced and developing region, especially in terms of economy and infrastructure.

Not only lies in the achievements he has achieved, Ganjar is also considered very close to the people. The former member of the DPR is also often seen meeting the community directly, listening to their aspirations, and trying to provide the best solution to solve the problems they face.

Previously, the PDI-P officially appointed Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate for 2024-2029 at the 140th Party DPP Meeting Extended by the Three Pillars with the agenda of internal consolidation and Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah gathering at Batu Tulis Palace, Bogor, West Java.

"Saying that he has appointed Ganjar Pranowo, now he is the Governor of Central Java as a cadre and party official to be upgraded as a presidential candidate for the Republic of Indonesia from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle," said PDI-P Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri.
