The National Police Chief Instructs Members To Prepare A Night Security Strategy For Takbir And Eid Al-Fitr 2023

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ordered all his staff to prepare strategies and steps to secure the night of the takbiran and Eid Al-Fitr 2023.

"Please all ranks closely monitor and take steps. So that the takbir night series can be carried out properly, solemnly and the Eid prayer activities can be carried out safely and smoothly," said Sigit, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 20.

The four-star general said that the ranks of the National Police together with relevant stakeholders were ready to secure the night of takbiran and Eid prayers throughout Indonesia. Given the differences in day celebrations in a number of areas.

"All levels of the National Police, both open and closed, are ready to secure and guard," said Sigit.

For the sake of security and smoothness of celebrating Eid al-Fitr, the former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police also appealed to the public not to carry out a convoy of takbiran nights, in order to maintain the comfort and security of the surrounding community.

He also invited people who would celebrate Takbiran night to sing takbiran takbiratul ihram at mosques and prayer rooms around their homes.

"As much as possible avoid convoys that can then be too far can interfere, even if they are limited. However, if takbir is carried out in their respective places without convoys, of course it will be much better. Please coordinate with the local authorities. So that activities can really be maintained and secured," said Sigit.

Sigit said that currently, the police throughout Indonesia have carried out mapping related to areas that will carry out Eid prayers.

With these efforts, said Sigit, to ensure and prevent things that interfere with the security and security situation. Thus, all Muslims who celebrate the day of victory can live it solemnly, safely and comfortably.
