JEMBER - The increasing occupancy of passengers on the Jember-Sumenep round-trip (PP) route ahead of Eid is anticipated by adding an aircraft flight schedule.

Now, Susi Air's plane on the Jember-Sumenep round-trip route (PP) has increased from once to twice a week.

"Flights with the Jember-Sumenep route at Jember Notohadinegoro Airport twice a week to meet the needs of Eid 2023 transportation," said Head of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Jember Notohadinegoro Airport Edy Purnomo when confirmed by telephone at the local district, Saturday.

According to him, Susi Air flights on the Sumenep-Jember route or vice versa will be carried out twice a week, namely Tuesday (18/4) and Wednesday (19/4) with the same ticket price and departure schedule.

"The Susi Air plane took off from Sumenep Airport at 09.24 WIB and landed at Notohadinegoro Airport in Jember at 10.04 WIB, then took off again at 10.14 WIB," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, April 15.

He explained that the addition of the flight frequency was only temporary in line with the momentum of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri and specifically on April 19, 2023, because there was an increase in passenger occupancy and requests from the public.

"The number of passengers who will fly from Jember to Sumenep for the departure schedule on Tuesday (18/4) is full or as many as 12 seats have been filled," he said.

Meanwhile, the flight schedule on Wednesday (19/4) has recorded six passengers and it is possible that this number will continue to grow, so it is hoped that passenger occupancy can reach 100 percent.

The Grand Caravan flight from Susi Air on the Jember-Sumenep route has reopened at Notohadinegoro Airport, Jember Regency since January 10, 2023, with a passenger capacity of 12 people and a schedule of once a week, Tuesday.

Flights on the Jember-Sumenep route are set at a ticket price of IDR 242,000 per person because they receive subsidies from the central government for the pioneer flight.
