Polemic Of Pondok Jati Station Train Doors, PT KAI And Provincial Government Must Collaborate, No Sectoral Ego

JAKARTA - Public Policy Observer from Trisakti University, Trubus Rahadiansyah assessed that the policy of making flyovers or tunnels at the railroad crossing (KA) Pondok Jati Station, Matraman District, East Jakarta, is the responsibility of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and PT KAI. The two agencies must collaborate.

"If the flyover or tunnel delay is the collaboration between the DKI Provincial Government and KAI. Such as the tunnel at the Senen crossing. What the provincial government must encourage to build a track bridge such as in Cipinang, a coffee hut and in Senen and several other places," Trubus said when confirmed by VOI, Friday, April 14.

Trubus said that in the case of the Pondok Jati train crossing, a vehicle crossing bridge had to be made.

"In this case, it must be made, there must be a bridge. That is the obligation of the Provincial Government and KAI. But if KAI itself, KAI doesn't want to. This case has been a problem for a long time, that's bad there," he said.

Because there is no serious handling from the relevant Government, the impact of this problem is usually experienced by the community itself.

"In the end, people became victims. KAI only had a conflict with the Railway Law. The provincial government threw it at KAI. The key was that they had to collaborate, meaning a fifty-fty to build. Like at the Senen train crossing which eventually became instagramable," he said.
