PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) has prepared 302 ships to guard and maintain the distribution of fuel oil (BBM) and LPG during the Ramadan period until Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah.

PIS has also formed a task force consisting of dozens of officers and women and prepared hundreds of ships to ensure the smooth availability of national energy.

"PIS is committed to maintaining the security of fuel supply with sustainable operations, all PIS officers and women are ready to carry out their duties throughout Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr. PIS also ensures that it still prioritizes the safety and security of the officers and women who serve as task forces," said PIS Muh Corporate Secretary. Aryomekka Firdaus quoted from ANTARA, April 7 evening.

In detail, as many as 278 PIS ships are operated to ensure the smooth distribution of domestic energy and 24 international ships for supplies from abroad.

Of the 278 domestic ships, 173 were used to transport fuel, 39 gas, 27 crude or crude products, and the rest were for avtur, naphta, asphalt, and others.

In addition, PIS also ensures that it monitors the distribution of fuel and LPG regularly, starting from monitoring at all depots in terms of stock conditions, DOT, coverage days as well as ship positions and conditions, and coordinating with all relevant parties to mitigate and anticipate if there is a surge in demand at a terminal.

Meanwhile, in terms of ship readiness, PIS monitors digitally with its applications and technology to detect the development of the situation and anticipate if there are emergency conditions and other risks that are monitored in one digital dashboard, namely digital fleet workspace (Digiforce).

PIS also prepared additional ships in anticipation of an increase in demand for stock security during the task force period if needed.

Coordination also continues to be carried out centrally at the Pertamina Task Force post and independently with relevant government agencies ranging from port officers, customs, and other licensing so that ship operations remain smooth.
