Persiari Conveys 10 Aspirations To Moeldoko, Here's The Contents

JAKARTA - Radio announcer throughout Indonesia (Persiari) conveyed 10 aspiration points to the Presidential Chief of Staff Dr. Moeldoko at the Bina Graha Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 5.

One of the important aspirations expressed was Madari's desire to become a strategic partner of the government in disseminating the results of government work to the community.

"Persiari does need to position itself as a strategic partner of the government because Persiari must be a bridge between members and the government, between members and the community and other institutions. This collaboration is important because the government cannot work alone, the government needs partners in various fields so that the management of strategic issues can be carried out together," said Moeldoko.

Meanwhile, Persiari conveyed 10 aspirations to the government through KSP, in which one of these aspirations was related to providing free radio assistance to the community, especially in the 3T area (Front, Outermost, Disadvantaged).

"The point is that our society, especially those with farmer professions and in 3T areas, is still traditional. I hope, for example, on the sidelines of playing songs, people are also given education about farming, or using fertilizers, and others through radio broadcasts. And yes, people need to be given free radio, "concluded Moeldoko, who welcomed the Persian initiative.

Adapted as Chairman of the Madari Board of Trustees, Moeldoko stated that he was ready to fight for sustainability and welfare standards for the radio broadcaster profession through the revision of the 2002 Broadcasting Law which was considered lagging behind.

The Presidential Chief of Staff also mentioned that the welfare standards fought for are not only limited to public and private radio broadcasters, but also for local community radio broadcasters.

Meanwhile, Agung Suprio, as a member of the Persian Board of Trustees, proposed that the government make April 1 a National Broadcasting Day. The reason is, based on history, April 1, 1933, is the day when Mangkunegara VII initiated the establishment of the first Indonesian-language radio in the city of Solo which emitted information on the struggles and cultural programs to the Netherlands.

Therefore, to President Jokowi through KSP Moeldoko, Persiari also wants Mangkunegara VII to be used as the Father of National Broadcasting. This was responded by Moeldoko who said he would study this issue more deeply within the KSP.
