JAKARTA - Another individual service provider (PJLP) of the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency (DLH) with the initials TB (47), admitted that he was charged with working at the Cleanliness Implementation Unit (UPK) of the DLH Water Agency amounting to Rp. 10 million. However, because it did not accept it, TB had to be removed.

TB was forced to be unemployed after almost six years of working as PJLP UPK of the DLH Water Agency.

"Yes, because it was the same as the one who deposited the money, it was immediately thrown away, basically if there was a deposit, he would easily get a job in that place," he told reporters in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta, Wednesday, April 5.

TB further explained that the extortion has occurred for the past three years. So far, it has been managed by the UPK Facilities and Infrastructure of the DLH Water Agency.

TB admitted that he was not the only victim, hundreds of his other colleagues had also been eliminated because they lost in the competition for money.

"We were immediately terminated by the contract for no apparent reason, because during my work I never got SP (a warning letter). Suddenly we were dismissed and deemed unable to work. The point is that the decision is only one-sided," he admitted.

The effort to stop the work, said TB, was carried out starting when he was moved to work in quite remote locations. He himself before being dismissed, was transferred to West Jakarta, South Jakarta, to Jakut.

"Most of those who play are civil servants, that's why everything is done very easily," he said.

For the actions he experienced, TB plans to report the incident to the DKI inspectorate.

"This is outrageous for the governor to know the rotten practice of extortion that has been happening at the UPK of the DLH Water Agency," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Sarpras UPK of the Water Agency, DLH Riyanto Naibaho, denied the allegation. According to him, in the acceptance of PJLP, his party still uses the mechanism for procuring goods and services.

"PJLP acceptance is not subject to tariffs, so that's not true," he said.

Riyanto also said, if there are indications and evidence of illegal levies in the field, please forward it to his party.
