Almost 13 Hours AG Undergoes Witness Examination Session At The South Jakarta District Court

JAKARTA - The trial scheduled for the examination of witnesses for the defendant, AG (15) was finally completed. The trial which started at around 09.00 WIB ended at 21.30 WIB. Almost 13 hours AG and witnesses underwent the trial.

AG's attorney, Mangata Toding Allo, assessed that his client's trial took a long time.

"We arrived from eight in the morning and until tonight 12 hours more AG children must be here. Indeed, this is quite late for today's trial," Mangata told reporters at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, April 4.

Despite undergoing the trial until late at night, said Mangata, his client will continue his case tomorrow with an agenda for reading the demands.

"Tomorrow our trial demands are ready with whatever the attitude of the public prosecutor and his demands. And the day after tomorrow we will be ready with the defense or plea that we will arrange on Thursday," he concluded.

For information, AG is also suspected of being involved in the case of the persecution of David Ozora. On that basis, AG's status was later upgraded as a child who was in conflict with the law.

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) also charged AG with premeditated abuse.

As for the charges charged, AG Article 353 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code and Article 355 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 56 of the 2nd Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 353 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 56 of the 2nd Criminal Code.

In addition, AG was also charged with Article 76 C in conjunction with Article 80 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law Number 23 of 2022 concerning Child Protection.
