PT Hanlyn Jaya Mandiri as the owner of the MT Kristin ship carrying Pertamina fuel oil is ready to take full responsibility for the impact caused by the fire incident in the waters northwest of Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara, Sunday, March 26. "We are fully responsible as a boat owner to ensure the safety of the crew, cargo of the ship, handling MT Kristin, dealing with environmental impact risks, and we are ready to cooperate with related parties to jointly carry out the necessary steps both in the context of inspection and investigation of the cause of the incident," said Director of PT Hanlyn Jaya Mandiri Tedi Supriadi, in an official statement received in Mataram, Antara, Wednesday, March 29. As is known, PT Hanlyn Jaya Mandiri is the owner of the ship or ship owner of MT Kristin which was rented by PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) to carry out the transportation and delivery of cargo fuel oil (BBM) pertalite from the Tuban Fuel Terminal to the Integrated Ampenan Terminal in Mataram City, NTB, and the Fuel Terminal Sanggaran in Bali. Currently, thanks to the fast action of PIS, Pelindo, and PTK, they have successfully carried out salvage or assistance activities on the ship MT Kristin, which now has docked at the pier of PT Pantai Damai Sejahtera (PDS), West Lombok Regency. PIS as the ship's tenant of MT Kristin owned by PT Hanlyn Jaya Mandiri, swiftly encouraged ship owners to immediately take steps to deal with incidents as a form of accountability in ensuring the safety of crews and cargo cargo cargoes. PIS encourages the ship owner to continue to report processes/updating on actions that have been taken related to the handling of victims and their families, survivors, cargo & vehicle handling, and mitigating environmental impacts. "KNKT came to see the condition of the latest MT Kristin ship physically and further processing needed to thoroughly investigate the cause of the MT Kristin ship incident," he said. Meanwhile, Basarnas has found two of the three crew members of MT Kristin who were missing during a ship fire in the waters of the western sea of Lombok Island or near the Integrated Ampenan Terminal in Mataram City, on Sunday (26/3) at 14:50 WITA. Head of the Mataram SAR Office Lalu Wahyu Efendi said the joint SAR team found one victim who died on the ship on Monday (27/3) at 03.50 WITA. The condition of the victim's body was burned and the body was not intact. The second victim was found dead with her body floating in the waters of the Jeranjang Sea, West Lombok Regency, on Wednesday, at around 08.30 WITA. "The condition of the victim who died was found at a distance of 6.20 nautical miles southwest of the location of the first incident in the waters of the Ampenan Mataram Beach Fuel Terminal (TBBM)," he said. The joint SAR team is still trying to find another victim whose whereabouts are still unknown.
