BANDUNG - A man from Ciherang Village, Kiangroke Village, Banjaran District, Bandung Regency with the initialsUR (50) was arrested by the police for being caught growing marijuana around the wedding reception building in Ciherang Village.
Bandung Police Chief Kombes Kusworo Wibowo said the suspect, whose other name is Jegoh, planted a marijuana tree around the reception building in the same area where he lives.
"So this area has a suspect's house, then the reception building that is usually rented is a wedding reception venue, but because it is rarely used, it is rarely rented by the community, the person concerned is sowing marijuana seeds around this area which is indeed large," said Kusworo at the reception building location plus Jegoh's residence, Antara, Tuesday, March 28.

Kusworo added that the suspect had done two harvests and was immediately consumed.

Kusworo said the suspect was a recidivist with a similar case, namely drug possession.
When asked by the media crew, Jegoh admitted that he planted the marijuana at the location without the knowledge of his six brothers who were co-owners of the reception building.
"I don't know when to plant others. I also plant and distribute in places that are not visible from the streets, but only two have grown," said Jegoh.
For his actions, the suspect is subject to Article 111 paragraph 2 of Law no. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics that mandates anyone without the right to plant crops in the form of more than 5 grams of marijuana, is threatened with a minimum prison sentence of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison.
