Sandiaga Meets Prabowo, Gerindra: Discuss Political Choices, If You Want To Move To PPP, Go Ahead

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Gerindra Party, Sandiaga Uno, met with General Chair Prabowo Subianto yesterday. The meeting was discovered through Sandiaga's upload on his Instagram account. In the upload, Sandiaga only said that he met Prabowo at the Office of the Minister of Defense to stay in touch in the month of Ramadan. Confirming this, Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, admitted that he did not know in detail what was discussed at the meeting. He only knew that the two of them discussed Sandiaga's political choice, which was recently widely proposed to be the presidential candidate of PPP. "I don't know the contents of the meeting in detail. But in general, it is about Pak Sandi's political choices," Habiburokhman said when confirmed, Tuesday, March 28. The DPR member emphasized that until now Prabowo is the only presidential candidate from Gerindra in accordance with the results of the National Rapimnas last August. "We all know that the presidential candidate proposed by Gerindra is only Pak Prabowo," said Habiburokhman. Even so, the chairman of the Gerindra Party Honorary Council invited Sandiaga if he wanted to run for the presidential election and change parties. "Even if Mr. Sandi moves to PPP, in my opinion, it's not a bad thing, go ahead and we can't block it," said Habiburokhman. "PPP is our friend, not a checking party," he added. Meanwhile, Sandiaga admitted that his meeting with Prabowo yesterday was an ordinary gathering. "The friendship is normal, it will be fertile, but later maybe we will cool down first, because this is still the holy month of Ramadan, we will fill it with our worship," Sandiaga said at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, March 28. However, Sandiaga was reluctant to reveal the discussion with Prabowo, especially the support of the Gorontalo PPP DPW to run for the presidential candidate.
