Ahead Of The Ramadan Sahur, 14 Teenagers In Solo Were Arrested By The Police For The Sarong War

SOLO - Surakarta City Police have arrested 14 teenagers suspected of going to a sarong war ahead of the dawn of Ramadan 1444 at the Gading Crossroad in Surakarta, Central Java, Saturday morning.

"There were as many as 14 teenagers who were arrested for a sarong war ahead of the sahur time at the Gading Placement in Surakarta City, at around 02.45 WIB and are currently being examined and given guidance at the Surakarta Police Headquarters," said Head of the Samapta Unit of the Surakarta Police, Kompol Arfian Riski Dwi Wibowo, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 25.

According to Arfian, this is thanks to a public report through a call center about a group of youths who want to "backcase war" in the Gading intersection, Surakarta City.

The Sparta team went straight to the location according to information from the community, it turned out that it was true that 14 youths and modified sarongs were found which were prepared for use in the "backcase war" event.

The 14 teenagers arrested were the initials AFS (16), FAN (16), WES (18), NIS (16), NAF (15), MAM (17), HRM (16), OA (18), PBB (17), DK (20), SG (17), TR (19), RD (20) and MR (20), all of whom are residents of Surakarta.

The 14 teenagers were taken to the Surakarta Police Headquarters for their names to be recorded and given an appeal for guidance and emphasis so as not to repeat their actions because they can harm others and themselves which have fatal consequences.

Of the 14 teenagers, there are eight people who are students. After receiving the advice and guidance of the 14 teenagers, a statement was made not to repeat their actions.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Surakarta Police, Kombes Pol. Iwan Saktiadi appealed to the public not to carry out a sarong war ahead of the Ramadan sahur.

"We urge the public not to fight against sarongs because it is disturbing. If residents see an incident where there is a sarong war, report it to us so that we act," said the Police Chief.

The police chief invites the community to jointly maintain regional conduciveness by continuing to carry out sahur at home. It is better if sahur is at home with family than doing sahur on the road which is not necessarily beneficial for all.
