Inaugurating 20 Closed Provincial Government Officials, DKI Regional Secretary Denies It's Heru Budi's Effort To Clean Up Anies' Person

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono overhauled 20 echelon II officials within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Then, Heru also confirmed 45 existing officials. The inauguration of a new position in the high-ranking Pratama leadership which was rotated was held behind closed doors at the DKI Jakarta City Hall today. After the inauguration, Heru immediately left the Great Hall, the room for the inauguration of officials without comment. DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Joko Agus Setyono finally opened his voice. Joko explained that the rotation of the positions of these 20 officials was carried out for quite a common reason, namely the refreshment of regional work units (SKPD) within the DKI Provincial Government. "Earlier it was carried out earlier, there were the inauguration of 20 new people and 45 inauguration people. The reason was refreshment, to be fresh," said Joko at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, March 21. Joko also denied the assumption circulating that the dismantling of echelon II pairs of the DKI Provincial Government was Heru's step to clean up or get rid of the position of official who had held his position since the Anies Baswedan era while still serving as Governor of DKI. "Oh, no (cleaning up positions). If (the transfer of positions) is one-on-one, it could be completed in the years," he said. For information, the transfer of 20 positions is contained in the Decree of the Governor of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta Number 213 of 2023 dated March 21, 2023 concerning Appointment, Transfer, and Dismissal of the Primary High Leadership Position (Echelon II) of Civil Servants within the Provincial Government of the Capital Special Region.
