JAKARTA - The fifth president and chairman of the Steering Committee of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri reminded village heads to properly take care of the people around their villages. He also reminded village heads to always be loved by villagers so that every program they present for them can run optimally. "I always say, you must be loved and love the people, desired by your village. (Village programs can run optimally) It can definitely be realized," said Megawati. On the same occasion, Megawati also mentioned the big role of the parties from the village in contributing to the independence of the Indonesian nation. According to Megawati, as published in Indonesia's history, the parties from the village are the parties who contribute the most in fighting for Indonesia's independence. "We are colonized, we must remember 3.5 centuries by the Dutch. After that, the name of struggle rose. The struggle that came the most were people in the village. That's true. If you don't believe it, look for it in history books," he said. He then conveyed that the struggle of the predecessors to liberate Indonesia could be continued at this time by maintaining unity between the villagers. The unity and integrity, he continued, can be maintained, one of which is by conducting deliberations that involve the village community in resolving differences. Megawati said this was a way of solving the problems taught by Pancasila. "So, if the village is united, I agree. Please think about it, you beat it. That's local wisdom. That's called mutual cooperation. That's called Pancasila, which is deliberation for consensus," he said.
