Head of the Bekasi Regency Fire Department Hasan Basri said the fleets deployed were each from the Cikarang Barat-Cibitung Command Headquarters, regional government offices, South Cikarang posts, and the North Cikarang post.

"At the TKP (the crime scene) we assisted by the Fire Department from Lippo Cikarang, PMI, and PLN, we work together to extinguish the fire," he said in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, Friday, March 17, which was confiscated by Antara.

Hasan said the Bekasi Regency Damkar visited the scene of the case at 04.19 WIB and arrived at the location at 04.32 WIB after receiving the incident report at 04.15 WIB.

"Thanks to the alertness of the officers, the fire was successfully extinguished at around 07.20 WIB followed by cooling efforts until 12.15 WIB this afternoon," he said.

The Commander of Pleton 2 of the Bekasi Regency Fire Department, Salimi, explained that the fire devoured a warehouse filled with plastic and wood waste, as well as two vehicles parked in the warehouse area before scorched two housing units, one of which was the warehouse owner's house.

"In addition to the warehouse, two houses were heavily damaged. Then one unit of Honda Brio and Honda Vario cars were also burned. The current condition is under control, there are no casualties or injuries. The area burned is about 400 square meters," he said.

South Cikarang Police Commissioner Chalid Thayib said the fire broke out in a warehouse owned by Miah residents (54). This accident was first discovered by a warehouse employee named Wandan (25) who woke up from sleep due to feeling hot.

"Then witness W came out to see the warehouse was on fire and immediately woke Cecep (34) who was sleeping with him," he said.

The victim's car, which was parked in the warehouse yard, was also burned, causing the fire to get bigger and spread to the victim's house.

"Based on the information of the victim's child, Yoman Yudistira (32), the burning warehouse is a place to store used cement bags, not a warehouse for storing B3 waste," he said.

The cause of the fire is suspected to be due to friction in the cement bag left over from the flour which was compacted last night, resulting in friction of the fire. "There have been three times in this warehouse and the cause of the burning was due to pocket friction," he said.

"There were no fatalities. However, the fire scorched a car, a motorbike, a waste warehouse unit, two permanent houses, and Rp350 million in cash. Officers are still at the TKP for further investigation regarding the cause of the fire," he said.
