BATAM - Batam City Government Riau Islands Province presents the Silelapormas application for the registration of community organizations (ormas). This is to support public transportation.

Head of the Implementation Division of the E-Government of the Communication and Information Office (Diskominfo) Batam City, Tyas Satria Manggala, said Silelapormas was an application for collecting data on mass organizations developed by Diskominfo and managed by the National Unity and Political Agency (Kesbangpol) Batam City.

He added that the Silelapormas application is expected to provide convenience for the community, especially to mass organizations in registering at the Kesbangpol Agency.

"Diskominfo hopes that the Silelapormas application can be utilized as much as possible by the Kesbangpol Agency and the Batam City mass organizations," said Tyas, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 15.

He said this application was formed to support the Batam Mayor's program in transforming public services from conventional to digital, so that the construction of Batam City which is a middle and a new city can be realized.

He added that the Batam Kesbangpol Agency has also carried out interactive dialogue activities for mass organizations throughout Batam City which aim to increase the understanding and compliance of community organizations in the implementation of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 56, 57 and 58 of 2017.

Previously, Diskominfo together with the Batam City Disdukcapil launched an electronic population administration service (Lakse) application for the processing of identity cards (KTP) in the local area which can now be done online.

Lakse is an application that is developed to accommodate public requests in terms of population file management before being included in the Ministry of Home Affairs' centralized population administration information system (SIAK) application by Disdukcapil.

"This is a collaboration between the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) and the Batam City Communication and Information Office (Kominfo) by preparing an electronic population service application (LAKSE)," said Batam City Disdukcapil Head Heryanto.
