Different Coalitions, Airlangga Calls Golkar And PKB Exploring Intense Communications

JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto said communication between his party and PKB was intense even though the two parties were currently in a different coalition. "The relationship between Golkar and PKB is intense talking," said Airlangga after attending the Golkar Institute event in Jakarta, quoted by ANTARA Monday, March 13. He said the communication run by Golkar with political parties was very good. Airlangga likened Golkar to having a banyan tree symbol with green leaves. All communication with political parties is going well. Golkar with the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) remains solid," he said. Previously, PKB DPP Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar said that his party had not yet merged into KIB. However, according to him, PKB established intensive communication with the Golkar Party.

"Not yet (the PKB issue merged with KIB), but we are in intensive communication with Golkar, very close. This means that PKB, Golkar, and Gerindra are getting closer," he said.
