Labuhanbatu Police Chief AKBP James H Hutajulu said AK (38), a resident of Negri Lama Village, Labuhanbatu Regency, a drug dealer of the type of methamphetamine, was threatened with 20 years in prison.

"The perpetrator violated Article 114 Paragraph (1) Subs Article 112 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison," said James as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 11.

James said the perpetrator was arrested by the Labuhanbatu Police Narcotics Satres personnel, last Friday at around 10.15 WIB.

At that time, personnel received information from the public that in Kampung Padang Village, Pangkatan District, Labuhan Batu Regency, precisely in oil palm plantations owned by the community, they were often used as places for narcotics transactions of the type of methamphetamine.

"Furthermore, the Opsnal Team conducted an investigation and raids at the TKP, successfully arrested one adult male, AK," he said.

The police chief said that during the raid, officers confiscated evidence in the form of two small transparent plastic clips containing crystal grains suspected of being methamphetamine, 1 small empty plastic clip package.

"Then, 1 box of black cigarette brand Dunhill, Rp300,000 in cash, 1 (one) a black Nokia brand flashlight, 1 unit of a green Kawasaki BLX BF motorcycle without a police number," he said.

James added that the Opsnal Team interrogated AK, admitting that the evidence belonged to him and obtained it from H, who lives in Negeri Lama Village, Bilah Hilir District, Labuhanbatu Regency.

"Furthermore, the perpetrators and evidence of methamphetamine were taken to the Labuhanbatu Police Narcotics Unit office for further legal proceedings," said Labuhanbatu Police Chief.
