The rain that flushed from Thursday to Friday, March 10, resulted in 1,896 people affected by flooding in Timpeh District, Dharmasraya Regency, West Sumatra (West Sumatra). "Temporary data until 14.00 WIB the number of affected families reached 550 families (KK) with a total of 1,986 people," said Head of Disaster Analysis Division of the Dharmasraya Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Ardinus Efendi, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 10. He explained that the affected residents were scattered in four villages (adat villages), including Nagari Taratak Tinggi 392 KK with 1,097 people, Nagari Timpeh 62 KK 229. Then Nagari Tabek 152 KK 492 people, and Nagari Ranah Palabi seven KK with 28 people and no casualties in the incident. He said the flood disaster also submerged a number of public facilities, including six school facilities, worship facilities, and two polyndes. BPBD Dharmasraya together with all related parties still focused efforts to evacuate and distribute aid to residents affected by the floods, he continued. "The obstacle faced during the evacuation is the main access to the location of the vehicle, "he said that heavy rains that hit the local sub-district from Thursday night at 22.00 WIB to Friday morning at 06.00 WIB in addition to causing landslides.

"To clean up the landslide material in Bukit Lantak, we still have not received any information, but it has been coordinated with the Public Workers' Office to bring in heavy equipment," he said. He added heavy rains that flushed Dharmasraya Regency since Thursday night also caused flooding in several sub-districts, including Tiumang District and Pulau Punjung District.
