JAKARTA - Head of the Transjakarta Corporate Secretary Division, Apriastini Bakti Bugiansri, opened his voice about the findings of 21 Transjakarta buses, which now only have pieces of chairs to wheels remaining.

Apri was reluctant to explain about this condition. He threw it at the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency as the granter of the operation permit for the Transjakarta bus fleet.

"For clarity, you can ask the Transportation Agency because the permit for operating is a fleet from the Transportation Agency," said Apri in a short message, Friday, March 10.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government admitted that there were 21 old Transjakarta buses that were no longer in the form of a bus fleet. Of the 36 Transjakarta buses stored at Pulo Gadung Terminal, 21 buses now only have pieces of chairs, wheels, and gas fuel cylinders.

This was explained by the DKI Provincial Government in a meeting of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Wednesday, March 8. At the meeting, the DKI Provincial Government proposed the removal of assets of 417 Transjakarta buses that were no longer used. 21 units that no longer have a bus framework are included in hundreds of units and their assets will be removed.

This condition was also questioned. Member of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Lukmanul Hakim, wonders why there are buses that are no longer intact.

"At Pulo Gadung Terminal, of the 36 buses, the remaining 21. After 21 units, only tubes and chairs. This is trying to be explained to us. Does it mean that the remaining 21 units are only tubes?" said Lukmanul at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building.

During the meeting, Lukmanul advised the chairperson of the Commission C meeting of the DKI DPRD not to directly approve the application for licensing for the removal of assets of the old Transjakarta bus. This is because there is no complete explanation regarding this matter.

"This information is suspicious. The remaining 21 units are only tubes. All parties involved are invited to be more certain. I doubt it is agreed," he said.

After the meeting, the Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Ismanto, explained the cause of the Transjakarta bus which is no longer intact. He said the buses were stored in pools and terminals that were not guarded.

So, people can enter the area without the knowledge of the DKI Transportation Agency. The skeleton, spare parts, and the facilities in the bus were released and stolen. In fact, this theft case has been handled by the police and the perpetrator has been detained.

"After being operated, the bus was stored. Maybe, there is an issue of security against assets or maybe there is looting. So, 21 buses (which are no longer intact) emerged. We will clarify further so that the position is clear for all," explained Ismanto.
