JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that there were officials who did not attach a power of attorney when submitting the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN). It is suspected that they are trying to prevent what was conveyed from being verified.

"Now there is a trend of people not sending power of attorney. Intentionally, it was intentional," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan to reporters, Thursday, March 9.

Pahala said that the absence of this power of attorney made the anti-corruption commission unable to do anything. Even though this file is important to open everything.

"I can't check with the bank. I can't go to BPN (National Land Agency (BPN)," he said.

"This is how the paper is sitting," continued Pahala.

Furthermore, the report was declared incomplete and would not be published to the public. "If there is no power of attorney, I can't call the bank. Ask BPN not to be given the certificate number," he said.

With this condition, the KPK wants to improve the rules regarding LHKPN reporting. The goal is that officials who report but are not equipped with a power of attorney can still upload their total assets.

"Ini mau masuk di revisi, kita bilang Begini, dia kirim LHKPN dengan surat kuasa atau enggak surat kuasa kita tayangkan, supaya semua bisa lihat," pungkasnya.
