MADINA - Hendri's husband (40) had to suffer serious injuries as a result of repelling a crocodile that attacked his wife Nelmy (35) while washing in the Bangko river, Mandailing Natal (Madina), North Sumatra (North Sumatra).Camat Ranto Baek, Sopian confirmed in Madina, Thursday, said that the human conflict with the crocodile occurred on Wednesday when Nelmy, the victim's wife was washing clothes on the outskirts of the Bangko River. "When the victim's wife was washing clothes on the outskirts of the Bangko River, the crocodile suddenly appeared and immediately attacked Nelmy," he said. Seeing his wife being attacked by crocodiles, Hendri immediately carried out help and resistance. However, Hendri had to suffer serious injuries to both hands and was forced to receive treatment at the Manisak Health Center "Alhamdulillah, the victim's condition has improved. The victim has been delivered to his house in Gonting Village," said Sopian. He said, the human conflict with the crocodile has often occurred in the Bangko River.

For this reason, he appealed to residents who carry out their activities in the river to increase their awareness of large reptile animals. "We urge residents to be more careful and increase vigilance, and reduce activity in the river," said Sopian.
