JAKARTA - The Lampung ATR/BPN Office said that there were many problems with overlapping land certificates in the Way Kanan and West Lampung areas which led to land dispute cases.
This was said by the Head of the Control and Handling Division of the Regional Office of BPN Lampung Province, Agha Setiaputra Ekasaptadi, during a meeting with Deputy Chairman of Committee II DPD RI Bustami Zainudin.
Agha said the importance of actualizing land problems in various regencies and cities in Lampung Province was so that some voiced to the central government.
"We hope that the DPD RI through Pak Bustami can bridge the land problem that occurred in Lampung Province, because there have been many land disputes that for years there has been no solution, because, among other things, they are hampered by the rules," said Agha, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 7.
Some of the problems raised by the heads of city district offices are regional boundaries between residential areas and forestry areas as well as land ownership claims.
"Several other districts, such as Way Kanan and West Lampung Regencies, have problems with overlapping certificates, where land has been inhabited by transmigrants for decades but certificates have been owned by non-transmigrants who have never lived in the land," said Agha.
Deputy Chairman of Committee II DPD RI Bustami Zainudin said issues related to regional boundaries, field needs, and others would be discussed in a joint working meeting with working partners of Committee II DPD RI.
Meanwhile, the religious organization of the Indonesian Islamic Da'wah Institute (LDII) who was also present at the meeting questioned the efforts that could be made by LDII in the process of changing the ownership of assets from individuals to foundations.
"LDII always wants to transfer all land assets on which a mosque building is built from a certificate in the name of an individual to a foundation, how can it be transferred in a cheap and fast way," said Lampung Province LDII DPW Chairman Muh. Aditya.
