When Old Town Visitors Eat Instant Noodles With Smoke From Bus Exhaust, New Problems Rise

JAKARTA Has been brought under control from street vendors, but there are still problems in the Kota Tua tourist area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta. Visitors reportedly complained about the position of the bus parking lot at the Intan City fostered location (Lokbin) because it was close to the place to eat.

"I eat instant noodles here, so there is a sense of bus smoke. Does the bus have to park here?" said one visitor in the area, Tuesday, March 7.

Yunita, who brought her child, was forced to eat elsewhere. Not only Yunita, another visitor, Rohaya also complained about the same thing.

The vehicle smoke made him short of breath, so he refused to eat at the Intan City Lokbin.

"I'm just looking for food elsewhere. Because I'm afraid that my child will catch shortness of breath. I want to walk and I'm looking for disease," he said.

Seen at the location at 12.20 WIB, five to six buses were seen parked on the front side of the Intan City Lokbin.

The bus was seen still turning on the engine so a puff of smoke grabbed every stall.

Another problem can also be seen in the back area of Lokbin, where it is parked in a motorbike.

There, it was seen that none of the officers were guarding the parking location. Motorcyclists are also not asked for a parking ticket when entering.

Responding to this, the Head of the Old City Parking Implementation Unit, Muhammad Ridwan, admitted that he had not taken any action regarding this matter.

"We are still waiting for the leadership's decision to rearrange the Intan City Lokbin," said Ridwan.
