JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will summon a number of parties related to the assets of former Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) official Rafael Alun Trisambodo. This summons can be made after the investigation is held. "The next activity will be carried out by the joint LHKPN Team and the KPK Investigation Team in the form of requests for information from a number of related parties," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 7. Ali said that the investigation process was carried out to find criminal elements. The KPK leadership has given the green light after they listened to the findings of the Directorate of State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN). "The results of the presentation of the LHKPN KPK team which was attended by cross-Directorates at the KPK and also KPK leaders were agreed regarding the RAT LHKPN examination which has now been improved at the investigation stage," he said. The public is asked to be patient and give the KPK time to carry out this investigation. The investigation process will be carried out behind closed doors, including the substance of the examination material on related parties. Ali ensured that Rafael Alun's investigation would not be different from other cases. "We need to convey, as part of the strategy for resolving cases, of course, regarding the substance of the material, we cannot convey everything to the public," he said. "This is the same as other cases handled by the KPK at the investigation stage," Ali continued. As a reminder, Rafael's wealth was in the spotlight after his son, Mario Dandy Satrio, persecuted 17-year-old David. The video of the abuse was widely circulated on social media. After the case was crowded on social media, Mario's video spread his wealth in the form of a Harley Davidson motorcycle highlighted by netizens. Not only that, but the public also highlighted the ownership of the Rubicon car he used when the persecution took place. As a result, on March 1, the KPK asked Rafael to come to clarify his wealth which reached Rp56 billion based on the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN). In the clarification process, the KPK investigated Rafael's assets. Among them, housing whose management company is in the name of his wife in North Minahasa and a house in Yogyakarta. It didn't stop there, the Rubicon car that Mario often exhibited was also investigated by the KPK. Likewise with Rafael's Harley Davidson, which turned out to be not with a number plate or a fake. Most recently, PPATK has blocked the accounts of Rafael Alun and a tax consultant whose names are allegedly borrowed for transactions or nominees. This effort is related to an unnatural transaction carried out by Rafael, who has assets of up to Rp56 billion. PPATK also suspects that Rafael used professional money laundering services with other parties through nominees. However, PPATK Chairman Ivan Yustiavanda did not specify who they were.
