YOGYAKARTA In this article, the profile of 3 Central Jakarta District Court Judges will be discussed which ordered the postponement of the 2024 General Election.

The three judges, namely Tengku Oyong, H. Bakri, and Dominggus Silaban. The panel of judges at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN Jakpus) led by T. Oyong on Thursday, March 2, 2023, won a lawsuit by the People's Fair and Prosperous Party (Prima) over a civil lawsuit against the General Election Commission (KPU).

Through a decision on the lawsuit of 757/Pdt.G/2022 which was filed on December 8, 2022, the Central Jakarta District Court ordered the KPU as the defendant to postpone the election.

"Punishing the Defendant not to carry out the remaining stages of the 2024 General Election since this decision was pronounced and carrying out the General Election stage from the beginning for approximately 2 years 4 months 7 days," reads the verdict, quoted on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.

According to the panel of judges, the KPU has committed an unlawful act. Because it did not pass the Prima Party in the administrative verification stage of political parties candidates for election participants.

Adapted from the Central Jakarta District Court website, before being transferred to the Central Jakarta District Court, Tengku Oyong served as a judge at the Medan District Court. The current position of T. Oyong is the Deputy Judge with the rank or class of the Young Main Trustees (IV/c).

The owner of the employee identification number (NIP) 196403041996031001 was born in Medan, North Sumatra on March 4, 1964. He was appointed a Civil Servant (PNS) in 1996.

Before becoming a judge at the Central Jakarta District Court, Oyong was noted to have served in a number of district courts, such as the Ambon District Court, Medan, and Sarolangun.

Not only that, Oyong also briefly held the position of Chairman of the Sarolangun District Court.

When he was a judge at the Ambon District Court in 2010, Oyong was reported to the Supreme Court for molesting a local television journalist named Juhri Samally.

The persecution occurred after the pretrial hearing of the Deputy Regent of West Southeast Maluku, Lukas Uwutuw. As a result, Tengku Oyong was questioned by the Regional Inspector of the Supreme Court Supervisory Body.

Third serving at the Central Jakarta District Court, Oyong once handled a lawsuit filed by a member of the DPD RI, Fadel Muhammad, against the Chairman of the DPD, La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, as Defendant I and Deputy Chair of the DPD RI, Mahyudin, as Defendant II.

The lawsuit relates to Fadel's dismissal as Deputy Chair of the MPR from the DPD element. At that time, Fadel's lawsuit was rejected by ON Central Jakarta. The panel of judges aging did not have the authority to try the DPD RI Decree on the results of the Plenary Session of the State Institution.

The man who was born in Boyolali, May 8, 1961, received a Bachelor of Criminal Law at Muria Kudus University. Bakri continued his master's studies at the Faculty of Law, Merdeka University, Malang.

One of the cases that H, Bakri had handled was the lawsuit against members of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia or the DPD RI Fadel Muhammad, against the Chairman of the DPD La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti and Deputy Chairman of the DPD RI Mahyudin.

The third judge who won the Prima Party lawsuit and ordered the KPU to postpone the election was Dominggus Silaban. He is the Junior Main Judge at the Central Jakarta District Court with the rank of Young Main Trustee (1v/d).

Born in Medan on June 26, 1965, Dominggus was appointed as a civil servant in 1992. Dominggus completed his first degree in civil law education at HKBP University. Then continued his master's degree in law at Padjadjaran University (Unpad). Dominggus previously served in the Medan District Court. He often tried drug cases.
