Police Confirm Family Regarding Mediation Letter From Victims Of Obscenity Of Orphanage Leaders In Banyumas

CENTRAL JAVA - MA (17), a teenager fostered by a victim of UP (51) sexual abuse, led by an orphanage in Banyumas, sent a mediation letter to the Banyumas City Police. The police followed up by confirming the victim's mother MA.

Head of the Banyumas Police Satreskrim Kompol Agus Supriadi Siswanto said the confirmation was made to find out whether there was really mediation without intimidation.

"Because in the Law on the Crime of Sexual Violence, mediation cannot be carried out regarding immoral cases," he said in Purwokerto, Banyumas, Central Java (Central Java), Tuesday, March 7, as reported by Antara.

Agus said the investigation into the sexual abuse case involving the caretaker of the Islamic boarding school in Banyumas is still in stage one. Regarding the possibility of other victims, until now only one is known because only MA lives in orphanages.

According to him, currently the MA victim has moved to another safer orphanage.

"The victim's condition is still stable, yesterday we checked psychology, we are still confirming the results," he said.

The disclosure of the alleged sexual abuse case began with the visit of the victim's family to an orphanage occupied by the Supreme Court in Kober Village, West Purwokerto District, Banyumas, Tuesday, February 14.

However, the head of the orphanage was angry and forbade the victim's family to visit the Supreme Court. In fact, UP also asked for some money if MA moved from the orphanage.

Therefore, officers from the West Purwokerto Police who received reports from MA's mother immediately went to the orphanage to secure UP and the victims who were then taken to the Banyumas Police Satreskrim PPA Unit until the alleged molestation case was finally revealed.
