Having Each Presidential Candidate Champion, Gerindra And NasDem's Reasons For Not Forming Coalition

JAKARTA - Both have heroes of presidential candidates (candidates), Prabowo Subianto admitted that this was the main reason Gerindra and Nasdem did not form a coalition during the 2024 presidential election.

"That regarding the coalition (in the 2024 presidential election), we have agreed to respect the decisions of each party. In this case, the Gerindra Party carries me as a presidential candidate and the Nasdem Party carries Anies Baswedan," Prabowo Subianto told reporters, Sunday, March 5.

Although there are different choices regarding the presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto, who in fact retired the three-star general, said that Gerindra and Nasdem still wanted the 2024 General Election and Presidential Election to be peaceful, harmonious, and united.

"We are determined and agree to maintain a peaceful election, a coalition or no coalition is a political decision carried out by each party," continued Prabowo Subianto.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Nasdem Party, Surya Paloh, hopes that Prabowo Subianto and Anies Badwedan as presidential candidates can maintain each other's friendships that have been established so far.

"At least, I at least expect the two of them to maintain each other's friendship, so that there is no misunderstanding in the life of the nation and state," hoped Surya Paloh.
