Head of the DKI Jakarta Highways Agency, Hari Nugroho, said that his party had started repairing the collapsed road on the Simatupang TB Street channel, precisely on Jalan RA Kartini, South Jakarta. Hari targets the completion of the collapsed road repair which often causes traffic jams to be completed this weekend. There is no traffic engineering for this work. "Two days ago we coordinated with the Water Resources Service for repairs. We will finish repairing the culverts first. After that, we will pile up the asphalt and asphalt on top of it. Hopefully this week it will be finished," Hari said when contacted, Friday, March 3. The road that is being repaired has collapsed with a length of about 20 meters. The depth collapsed to reach 6 meters underground. Hari guarantees that the repair will not increase the impact of congestion from the collapse of the road. "Work at night. We use it," he said. Initially, the road at RA Kartini collapsed after being crossed by heavy vehicles on the evening of Saturday, February 25. Apparently, the culvert channel below the road point had broken. The leaking water also eroded the road foundation. "So it collapsed because below it there was a broken culvert channel. So, the water continued to erode the foundation. Finally, there was no foundation as a burden holder and caused the problem to collapse down," explained Hari. Hari said that the rain that often occurs recently has also caused the collapse of RA Kartini's road. "There is a rain factor. As soon as it breaks, it's the lower foundation that has been eroded. Plus it's raining, it accelerates soil erosion. But the main effect is because waterways break," he continued.
