The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Calls Rafael Alun Confident When Clarifying IDR 56 Billion Of Assets That Made Him Excited

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that former Ministry of Finance's former DGT (Kemenkeu) tax official Rafael Alun Trisambodo was confident when he fulfilled the call for clarification of assets of Rp56 billion. The reason is that Rafael feels that he has reported all his wealth.

"I think it's really confident (Rafael, ed)," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan, Thursday, March 2.

"It's all clear, everything ( Rafael's wealth, ed) is reported," he continued.

Pahala said his team had checked a number of Rafael's assets. However, there was no oddity in the assets reported by Mario Dandy's father.

Even if there are things that have not been reported, such as black Jeep Rubicon and Harley Davidson, Pahala assesses, Rafael can do it immediately.

"Pede dia, kalau ada belum koras Harley, ya, kecil-small lah. 'Want to report now, saya laporkan' tapi kan bodong. Apa yang mau dilaporkan. Jadi secara administrasi semuanya ok," tegasnya.

As previously reported, Rafael's wealth was in the spotlight after his son, Mario Dandy Satrio, abused 17-year-old David. The video of the persecution circulated widely on social media. After the case, Mario's video spread his wealth on social media in the form of a Harley Davidson motorbike highlighted by netizens. Not only that, the public also highlighted the ownership of the Rubicon car he used during the persecution. However, the Harley Davidson and Rubicon motorbikes were not on the list of assets reported by Rafael. The amount of wealth he submitted in the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) as of February 17, 2022 reached Rp56 billion.

This amount exceeds the wealth of the Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo of around Rp. 14 billion, who is Rafael's superior. In fact, Rafael's total assets were only narrowly lost to the assets of Finance Minister Sri Mulyani of Rp. 58 billion out of a total of Rp. 67.2 billion deducted from debt.
