JAKARTA - The Democratic Party has officially declared Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate (candidate) in 2024 after holding a limited meeting with the Democratic Party's High Council (MTP). Today's declaration confirmed the Democratic Party's commitment to support Anies as a presidential candidate through the statement of the General Chair, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) on January 26. This is because today's decision has been made by the Democratic Party's MTP with legal force. "With the decision of the Democratic Party's High Council (MTP) which was taken last night and confirmed today directly to him Mr. Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate that we will jointly support, this will give legal force to the Democratic Party's declaration which was previously submitted to the public on January 26, 2023," AHY said at a press conference at the DPP Democrat office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 2. AHY believes the coalition boat can sail to bring victory in the 2024 General Election and bring change and improvement to Indonesia.
