Police Arrest 2 Robbers Of Deaf Women Hiding In Kampung Bahari

The Makassar Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested two perpetrators of the robbery of a deaf woman on the Jakarta - Cikampek toll road KM 01-800, Makasar District, East Jakarta. In the action, the two perpetrators were equipped with sharp weapons while robbing the victim's belongings when their vehicle pulled over. After being fugitive, the two perpetrators were arrested by the police in the North Jakarta area.

"Yesterday we conducted an investigation at the TKP in the form of CCTV and others, then we made observations to the field to find the point where the suspect was hiding in Kampung Bahari, North Jakarta. We managed to catch the two perpetrators," said Kapolsek Makasar Kompol Zaini to reporters, Thursday, February 2.

From the hands of the perpetrators, the police confiscated evidence of a stolen victim's cellphone. The police also secured evidence of a sweater and hat when the perpetrator carried out the robbery.

"The cellphone belonging to the victim was confiscated, the hat and sweater used by the perpetrator during the confiscation on the toll road. The other gold and cellphones have been sold by the perpetrators," he said.

Kompol Zaini said the arrests of the two perpetrators were carried out in two different places but still in the North Jakarta area.

"The location of the arrests in the Jakut area, the location of the arrests to 1 and 2 is not far away. The arrests of the two perpetrators of violent theft were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a deaf woman was the victim of a robbery while riding a pickup at Kilometer 01 - 800 of the Jakarta - Cikampek toll road, Makasar District, East Jakarta. The street crime was successfully recorded by an amateur camera by the victim's driver.

In the video footage, the perpetrator is seen wearing a white sweater. Together with the stolen goods, the perpetrator fled to the side of the toll road. Meanwhile, the video recorder continued to run and screamed hysterically trying to find help to catch the perpetrator.
