Efforts To Improve Collapse The Roof Of SDN 3 Sukagumiwang, Disdik Sends Service Memorandum To Regent Indramayu

The roof of the Sukagumiwang State Elementary School (SDN) collapsed when extreme weather hit Indramayu Regency. A number of efforts to make immediate improvements continue to be carried out in the hope that the teaching and learning process will no longer be disrupted.

"We are trying to immediately repair (the collapsed roof)," said the Head of the Elementary School Development Division of the Indramayu Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), Baman in Indramayu, West Java (West Java), Wednesday, March 1, as reported by Antara.

Baman claimed that the SDN 3 Sukagumiwang building had entered the priority to be repaired in 2024, but first experienced a collapsed roof due to extreme weather.

He explained, after receiving reports of the collapse of the classroom 5 SDN 3 Sukagumiwang, his party immediately went to the location, and immediately sought to repair the classroom as soon as possible.

"We have also reported this incident to the Regent and the Indramayu Education and Culture Office, so that it can be handled as soon as possible," he said.

Aman added that his party is also still trying to improve the damaged class, namely by making an official memorandum and having been sent to the Regent of Indramayu.

Furthermore, Baman said that in 2023 his party will also continue to seek the rehabilitation of damaged schools, a total of 22 schools have received rehabilitation.

"Of course we also encourage other things to be repaired, it's just that it is constrained due to a limited budget," he said.

On Monday 27 February, the roof of SDN 3 Sukagumiwang collapsed during lesson hours. Luckily, a number of students who occupied the class at the time of the incident were evacuated first, so there were no casualties.
