Worried That The Remaining Building Will Hazard Residents, Victims Of The Lampung Earthquake Ask Officers To Flatten Their Houses

The landslide disaster in Lampung caused one house in Pekon (Village) Ngarip, Tanggamus, to be heavily damaged. Worried that the rest of the building would endanger other residents, the owner asked for help from the officers to knock it down.

"The landslide disaster caused a house belonging to a resident named Suroto to partially collapse," said Kapolsek Pulau Panggung AKP Muskir in Tanggamus, Lampung, Wednesday, March 1, confiscated by Antara.

He then explained that the landslide was caused by heavy rains with high intensity.

"There were no casualties in the incident, because the victim was not at home because he was waiting for his son to be treated at Secanti Gisting Hospital," he said.

For this incident, his party has also coordinated with Uspika and contacted BPBD Tanggamus, as well as the community working together to knock down some of the rest of the houses to avoid danger to other residents' houses.

"We have coordinated with the relevant agencies because the victim suffered a loss of Rp. 150 million. For valuables it is safe and has been evacuated by victims assisted by the surrounding community," he said.
