CIANJUR - The Cianjur Regency Government, West Java, provides relief from paying Land Building Tax (PBB) for residents who are victims of the Cianjur earthquake. As a result, currently the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Cianjur Regency continues to collect data for residents who receive relief.
Head of the Data Collection and Determination Division of the Cianjur Bapenda, Ardian Athoillah, said that related to local government policies that would ease the burden on taxpayers affected by the earthquake in paying the UN according to the reference of the Cianjur Regent's Decree.
"We will refer to taxpayers who have been stipulated in the Cianjur Regent's Decree or nominal data on earthquake victims. Later, their tax objects will be re-recorded, such as houses, fields, or fields which are planned to be given relief," he said in Cianjur, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, February 28.
Ardian explained that it is possible to vary the form of tax payment relief. There are taxpayers who may be exempted from their payments or also reduce the value of the payment.
"It will be discussed how and why taxpayers are given relief starting from being released or only paying half of their obligations. After the data is released, verification will be carried out in the field, this is a form of government concern for earthquake victims," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding this year's PBB collection, he said, his party has distributed Land and Building Tax Returns (SPPT-PBB) for 20 sub-districts out of a total of 32 sub-districts since the beginning of the year.
The sub-districts that have received the SPPT-PBB will immediately distribute it to villages to be handed over to their respective citizens so that they are on time to pay their obligations.
"We have spread the SPPT-PBB since the beginning of the year to each sub-district to be handed over to villages and distributed to taxpayers, so that residents can deposit their obligations on time because the money will be returned to be used in various fields of development," he said.
