Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo admitted that he received positive responses from several companies to alleviate extreme poverty with a pattern of beatings.

This was conveyed by Ganjar after chairing a coordination meeting on the handling of poverty in 17 regencies in the 5th floor Governor B Office Meeting Room, Semarang City, Central Java, Tuesday, February 28.

We prepared the CSR Forum and several private companies contacted me yesterday because we wanted to announce it to the public. "I think if we share tasks, we need almost IDR 500 billion to intervene in extreme poverty, so there's not much actually," said Ganjar.

Ganjar will encourage entrepreneurs to contribute to helping the community, especially those of the productive age of underprivileged families by holding training. Ganjar said this training could also be supported by various agencies in the Central Java Provincial Government.

Later, the Office of MSME Cooperatives, Industry, our trade will be able to help, or from companies. We are accelerating this," he said.

On the other hand, Ganjar continued, labor-intensive work will be maximized. Because, according to him, it can help underprivileged people get additional income, in addition to the financial assistance provided.

"Meanwhile, from the Manpower Office, we are going around to check the company so that they can help families who are not working, then can earn income. This is what is there," said Ganjar.

The former member of the Indonesian House of Representatives emphasized that the Central Java Provincial Government continues to work and is committed to reducing poverty, especially in overcoming poverty variables, including stunting and education backwardness.

"We continue to encourage, pay attention to stunting, this is one package. Then those with disabilities are sought, those who do not go to school at the age of 7 to 18 years, they can go to school," he said.

Ganjar hopes that the efforts to be made will get positive results. To speed it up, Ganjar also asked the regents to report the latest poverty conditions in the next week.

"Hopefully next week the report will be processed from each other, so that we can make it in a system that is easy to read," said Ganjar.

For information, under Ganjar's leadership, the poverty rate in Central Java decreased by 0.27 percent in the period September 2021 to September 2022. Now, the poverty rate for Central Java is only 10.98 as of September 2022.
