Gone For 2 Days, A 2-year-old Boy Was Found In The Water Channel While Playing Stone

A child who was allegedly missing for two days was found safe in an irrigation network by a resident on behalf of Jamal (50) who is a floodgate (P3A) officer in Jurang Jaler Village, Praya Tengah District, Central Lombok Regency.

"The toddler was found in the secondary irrigation channel Dasan Gelogor, Jaler Jurang Village," said Central Lombok Police Chief AKBP Irfan Nurmansyah in Praya, quoting Antara, Sunday, February 26.

He said, from information from the child's parents, it was suspected that they had been missing for two days and one night, since Friday, February 24, so they were found weak and it was estimated that the child was walking from his aunt's house to the location where his parents worked.

"However, because they did not find the location of their parents working, the victim continued to walk until he arrived at the location and was found two kilometers away," he said.

Getting information about the disappearance of a 2.5-year-old child, a resident of Monggas Village, Kopang District, his party investigated secondary irrigation with members.

"And the child was found by the floodgate guard at the crime scene," he said.

The child was found when the witness checked the secondary irrigation canal Dasan Gelogor, Jaler Bat Hamlet, Jaler Jurang Village, saw the child sitting in a channel where the water was not large while biting the rock.

He felt suspicious and then called Ishak (witnesses) to inform him that a boy was weak, but was still conscious and asked him to come to the location immediately.

The witness arrived and confirmed that the child was Ikhsan, then immediately took him to his parents' house. The condition of the child was found to have abrasions on his left knee, left elbow and abrasions on his stomach.

"From the results of the examination by the Pengadang Health Center officer, the victim had a fever, but the condition was generally still stable and had to be treated first until his condition improved," he added.
