JAKARTA - PKS DPP chairman Mardani Ali Sera spoke about the timing of the declaration of the Amendment Coalition after his party officially declared Anies Baswedan as a potential presidential candidate (readpres) to be carried with NasDem and Democrats in the 2024 presidential election. According to him, the declaration of the Amendment Coalition is likely to be made next month before fasting. "Before Ramadan, God willing," said Mardani, Saturday, February 25. Previously, the Democratic Party (PD) hoped that the 2024 presidential candidate (readpres) Anies Baswedan would immediately determine the name of the vice presidential candidate (cawapres), after being officially declared by the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) yesterday. Deputy for Bappilu for the Democratic Party, Kamhar Lakumani, said that if Anies had determined the name of his assistant cawapres, then Democrats, NasDem and PKS could also immediately declare the Change Coalition. "We hope that Mas Anies will immediately determine the vice presidential candidate, so that the plenary declaration of the Change Coalition and its presidential and vice presidential candidates can be made immediately," Kamhar told reporters, Friday, February 24. "We hope that this can be decided soon. The sooner the better," he continued. Kamhar assessed that the consolidation of party political machines that are members of the Change Coalition will further optimize the winning work after the declaration. Furthermore, said Kamhar, the Secretary of the Change Coalition will also soon be formed. He said that the formation of the securities had been discussed and was just a matter of time to launch. "The making of the Secretary, the signing of a memorandum of understanding for the support of the three party leaders to fulfill the 20 percent presidential threshold, the commitment to fight for the people's aspirations for change and improvement.
