PURWOKERTO - DPRD Banyumas district urged the Banyumas Regency Government, Central Java, to return land belonging to residents of Sokaraja Tengah Village which was used as the location for Sangkalputung Market.

Chairman of Commission I of the Banyumas Regency DPRD, Sardi Susanto, said that the 1,277 square meter land used for Sangkalputung Market is land owned by Bambang Pujianto's family as evidenced by the ownership of a certificate in the name of Hendro Puji Santoso with Number 351 of 1981.

According to him, the land owned by the residents has been controlled by the Banyumas Regency Government for 39 years, which means they have benefited from the withdrawal of levies.

"If it's not the right (the right of the Banyumas Regency Government, ed.), why not return it to the owner," he said.

Even if the land belonging to the residents is put into regional assets, he said, of course there is no legal basis and is an error, so it is null and void.

On a separate occasion, the Head of Market Affairs of the Banyumas Industry and Trade Service (Dinperindag) Sarikin confirmed that part of Sangkalputung's market land in Central Sokaraja Village, Sokaraja, was partly land owned by residents.

"The area of land built by the market as a whole reaches 2,852 square meters. From this area, 1,177 square meters of which belong to residents on behalf of Hendro Puji Santoso as evidenced by land ownership certificates," he explained.

Meanwhile, the representative of the land owner's family, Bambang Pujianto, said that his party would file a civil lawsuit and report on the crime of land grabbing, if the Banyumas Regency Government did not immediately return the land that was used as Sangkalputung Market.

According to him, from 1981 to 2022 his party routinely paid land and building taxes (PBB) on the land, both when land ownership was still proven by Letter C until now it has been certified.

"Therefore, I ask the Banyumas Regency Government to stop unilateral claims over our family land which has been going on for 39 years, and immediately return it," he said.

He said his party had shown proof of ownership of the land during a meeting with the Banyumas Regency Government.

According to him, the proof of land ownership is in the form of a certificate of ownership (SHM), a village certificate that there has never been a sale and purchase of the land in question, as well as the payment of the United Nations.

"The Banyumas Regency Government cannot argue and has no proof of ownership," he said.

Furthermore, Bambang said the Banyumas Regency Government through a letter dated January 24, 2023 with Number 180/410/2023 signed by the Deputy Regent of Banyumas Sadewo Tri Lastiono on behalf of the Banyumas Regent had sent a team to check.

From the results of the check, he said, the Banyumas Regency Government is ready to buy Hendro Pudji Santoso's land (Bambang Pujianto's family, ed.) on the Sangkalputung Market land and budget it in 2023.

However, until now, he continued, the Banyumas Regency Government has not made payment for the land to be purchased.

"We need certainty, human patience has its limits. It has been 39 years since our land has been used by the Banyumas Regency Government," he said.
