654 Cases Of Violence Against Women And Children OCCURRED In DIY Throughout 2022 So The Reason For Trauma Services Present At RSJ Grhasia

DIY - The Health Office (Dinkes) recorded 654 cases of violence experienced by women and children in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) during the first semester of 2022.

"This high figure is one of the background for the birth of the Trauma Healing and Visum Et Repertum Service Unit of RSJ Grhasia," said Head of the DIY Health Office, Drg Pembayun Setyaningastutie, at the inauguration of the Trauma Healing and Visum Et Repertum Service Unit at RSJ Grhasia, Sleman, DIY, Wednesday, February 22, confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the existence of these facilities can be the right treatment for women and children who are victims of violence.

"The Trauma Healing and Visum Et Repertum Service Units were built so that the Grhasia Mental Hospital provides trauma healing services for victims of violence, especially women and children by meeting professional standards and standard operating procedures," he said.

He said, with this new building, it is hoped that the Grhasia Mental Hospital can provide quality services and pay attention to patient safety aspects.

RSJ Director Grhasia Akhmad Akhadi said the Trauma Healing and Visum Et Repertum Service Unit buildings had been completed with several complete facilities, such as crisis treatment rooms, child observation rooms, family therapy rooms, doctors' rooms, psychologist rooms, to the visum et repertum observation room.

"Hopefully this Grhasia Mental Hospital can play a bigger role in dealing with victims of violence, so that the victim only stops at violent incidents, does not cause post trauma stress disorder and does not cause more mental disorders," he said.

The Trauma Healing and Visum Et Repertum Service Unit buildings, named Pringgodani, took place at the Grhasia Mental Hospital (RSJ) and were symbolically inaugurated by the Governor of DIY by cutting rope flowers.
