JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri ensured that the investigation into alleged corruption in his institution would be carried out completely. No exception is the investigation into alleged corruption in the implementation of Formula E in DKI Jakarta. "We have to solve each of these cases. There is not limited to one case or another," Firli told reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, February 20. The settlement of this alleged corruption, continued Firli, will be guided by Article 44 of Law Number 30 of 2002. "The guidelines are sufficient evidence. (There is, red) sufficient preliminary evidence," he said. If in the investigation process there is not sufficient evidence found, the case being investigated will not go up to investigation. As previously reported, the KPK Supervisory Board asked for the status of alleged corruption in the implementation of Formula E in DKI Jakarta to be immediately determined by the KPK leadership. This request was agreed upon on January 17 last. "This means that if evidence is found of alleged corruption, it must immediately be raised from the investigation stage to the investigation stage. Vice versa," said KPK Chairman Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean to reporters, Thursday, February 16. Tumpak said this agreement occurred during the Supervision Coordination Meeting (Rakorwas) of the fourth quarter of 2022 between Dewas and the KPK leadership. This request refers to the investigator's authority as regulated in Article 1 paragraph 5 of the Criminal Procedure Code jo. Article 44 of the KPK Law. It is known that the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption in the implementation of Formula E. There are several parties who have been summoned, namely Anies Baswedan to the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi. Later, the anti-corruption commission revealed that there were a number of difficulties in investigating this case. The reason is that they cannot access information forcibly like at the time of the investigation.
