BOGOR - The price of subsidized cooking oil, MinyaKita in several traditional markets in Bogor Regency exceeds the lowest retail price (HET) of IDR 14,000. MinyaKi in traders is sold between IDR 16,000 to IDR 17,000 per liter.

The skyrocketing price of subsidized cooking oil (Minyakati), Acting Regent of Bogor Iwan Setiawan conducted an Inspection of fire (Sidak) at Cibinong Market and gathered all Heads of Market Units throughout Bogor Regency.

Hal tersebut dilakukan Iwan untuk memastikan dan menelusuri penyebab kenaikan harga komodita, salah satunya minyita.

"I received information that commodity prices have increased, one of which is subsidized cooking oil or oil," said Iwan, Monday, February 20.

He asked all 29 market heads in Bogor Regency not to provide reports, but to trace and analyze the cause of the rising commodity prices.

From the results of his inspection, the price of oil was increased or exceeded the Highest Retail Price (HET) from Rp. 14,000 sold at a price of Rp. 16,000 to Rp. 17,000.

"This phenomenon massively occurs in Bogor Regency, we must convey this to the provincial level and to the central level," he explained.

"After inspecting the market today, I ordered the PD Pasar, Disdagin, and the Regional Secretariat's Economics Section, to visit several agents, to find out what the problem is. So we will make efforts in accordance with the authority of the Bogor Regency Government," continued Iwan.

Iwan added, for packaged cooking oil, other brands in Bogor Regency have stock, but they are sold above Rp. 14 thousand.

"We only focus on dealing with our oil, because people know that this is subsidized oil, which has a price of Rp. 14,000, but in the market it is sold above the specified price," he said.
