5 Regions In Bangka Belitung Enter The Green Zone Or Zero Cases Of COVID-19

PANGKALPINANG - The COVID-19 Task Force for the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands stated that five of the seven regencies/cities in the Babel Islands on Monday were without COVID-19 patients, due to the increasingly sloping transmission of the corona virus in the area.

"These five regencies/cities can already be declared COVID-19 green zone areas," said Secretary of the Babel Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force Mikron Antariksa as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 20.

He stated that the five regencies/cities in the Province of the Babel Islands without active COVID-19 patients were Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Regency, West Bangka, Belitung and East Belitung.

"Currently, the number of COVID-19 patients who are still undergoing self-quarantine remains seven people in Central Bangka five and South Bangka two patients," he said.

According to him, in preventing the transmission and spread of the corona virus, the COVID-19 Task Force together with local governments continue to socialize the process to the public, so that they remain vigilant while continuing to take independent precautions.

"We continue to improve services to COVID-19 patients, in order to increase the recovery rate to realize the COVID-19 green zone Babel," he said.

Head of the Surveillance and Immunization Section of the Babel Islands Health Office, Rais Haru, said the first and second booster vaccination services were at the public health service center.

"Socialization and vaccination services in hospitals, health centers and clinics continue to be intensified, as an important effort to increase antibody titers and extend people's body protection from this virus," he said.
