Maluku - Maluku Police finally established an Integrated Security Post (Pospam), following up on the order of the Regional Police Chief to improve security at Mardika Market, Ambon City. Maluku Police Chief Inspector General Lotharia Latif hopes that the blurry portrait of the market, which has been known to be prone to criminal acts, can turn into a safe, comfortable market for the community. "Pospam has been established in the Mardika market. We hope that the portrait of Mardika's market which is known to be prone to criminal acts such as theft (jambret, pickpocket), and burglary, as well as illegal collection can turn into a safe, comfortable and beautiful market for the community," said the Maluku Police Chief, in Ambon, Sunday. In addition to maintaining security, the presence of Pospam is also expected to facilitate communication and coordination between security officers with traders and the community. "I have also ordered security officers to continue to carry out patrols, both open and closed patrols and carry out early detection and prevention of crimes there," he said. Kapolda said that Mardika Market is always expected to become a center of trade or economy that can improve the welfare of the people in Maluku, especially in Ambon. "The Mardika market must also be a symbol of harmony and togetherness of all components of society in Maluku who want to build and advance Maluku," explained the Kapolda. He invited all components of society to work together to change the blurry portrait of Mardika's market into a clean and comfortable market for anyone. "Let's make Mardika market a culinary center because Mardika's market location is very strategic and beautiful, in front of it there is a beach that can be enjoyed by residents," he asked. The Kapolda invites all parties, including traders and the community, to work together in realizing security and public order in the Mardika market. He ordered the integrated security forces in the Mardika market to take firm action against the perpetrators of crimes in the Mardika market.
