JAKARTA - Central Mamberamo Regent Ricky Ham Pagawak has been arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Now, the fugitive in the corruption case has been detained at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters in Papua.

"Currently, the DPO (wanted list) is being secured at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters in Papua," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Sunday, February 19.

Ali revealed that the regional head who has now been named a suspect in the crime of money laundering (TPPU) was arrested in Abepura District, Jayapura City, Papua Province.

"The information we have obtained is that the KPK suspect was arrested in Abepura," said Ali.

Previously, the KPK named Ricky Ham Pagawak as a suspect in the alleged bribery project in Central Mamberamo Regency, Papua. However, the regent fled and his whereabouts are not yet known.

Ricky is suspected of running away to Papua New Guinea with the help of TNI members. His name is currently on the wanted list (DPO).

In this case, the KPK suspects that Ricky received money from contractors who wanted to get the project in Central Mamberamo. One of them, from Marten, allegedly gave IDR 300 million to billions of rupiah.
