Lampung Province Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) is optimistic that around 25 percent of Lampung's population in 2023 will switch from electronic ID card (e-KTP) to Digital Population Identity (KTP Digital).

"If the population of Lampung Province reaches 8.9 million people, it means that 25 percent of the target has reached 1.5 million people who have switched to Digital Population Identity. In Lampung I am very optimistic, because all officers from the Population and Civil Registry Office have gone directly to disseminated the transfer from electronic ID card to IKD," said Head of Lampung Province Disdukcapil Achmad Saefulloh, in Bandarlampung, Friday, February 17, confiscated by Antara.

Saefulloh said the national target was 25 percent of the total population had made digital recordings throughout 2023, but Lampung Province could achieve that target within 6 months.

"We can achieve within six months the 25 percent population of Lampung Province has migrated from electronics to digital," he explained.

According to him, with the transition from electronic population data to digital identity (IKD), it makes it easier for people to provide public services such as in hospitals, banks and other offices.

He explained that Digital ID cards or IKD can be accessed anywhere, anytime and it is very easy for the public to be able to register for the creation of these digital identities.

"People just come to the nearest Disdukcapil office to activate the creation of digital ID cards. If the distance is too far, they can come to the sub-district office," he said.

Migration from electronics to digital first for officers and population employees and civil records of the central government, province, district and city, provincial apparatus organizations (OPD) of the province, district and city.

The people of Lampung Province who are outside the city, such as working or studying, can immediately come to the Office of the Population and Civil Registry Office, to activate the IKD.

"There is no need to return to the province of origin to activate IKD, only come to the Disdukcapil office where you work or study. Because the system is now online, it can make it easier for people to activate it anywhere," he said

The district/city Population and Civil Registry Office has conducted socialization to the public, especially students of SMA/SMK who are 17 years old, to be able to record ID cards and immediately activate the creation of digital ID cards by the officers present.

In addition to students, Disdukcapil also conducts socialization to bank employees, so that there is no rejection when the community creates an account or takes care of needs at the bank.
