Serving To Free Land For The East-West MRT Line In Bekasi, Ridwan Kamil: It's Not Easy

West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil admitted that the task of the West Java Provincial Government with the Bekasi City Government in the plan to build the western-east (east-west) phase 1 (3A) phase 1 MRT is to acquire land. This land acquisition is needed as the construction of depots or parking lots for MRT trains and their stations. In this case, the West Java Provincial Government has compiled a document for determining the location (penlok) in the field of land to be acquired. This was revealed by Ridwan Kamil in the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono regarding regional support for the construction of the Phase 3 MRT which began on stage 1 of the Tomang-Medan Satria area. "At this stage, my job is to prepare a location appointment document, in other words, penlok ensures that there is a legal basis for the route," said Ridwan Kamil at Gedung Sate, Friday, February 17. Then, the Bekasi City Government is tasked with executing land acquisition in its territory. Both the creation of the legal basis for penlok and the execution of land acquisition in the field, according to Ridwan Kamil, is not as easy as imagined. "This is not easy. Land acquisition will take place in the area of Mr. Mayor (Mayor of Bekasi). The technical level of Bekasi mayorship is also a very high role. However, my point is very dynamic and complex, so that is why the central government is holding the initiative of this," he said. Then, the man who is familiarly called Kang Emil also could not describe the funding scheme for the land acquisition process belonging to the residents for the construction of the MRT facility. "The city of Bekasi must provide depots. This depot is currently in which alternatives are the most adequate. Funding issues are also discussed. Each of the provincial and city governments has its contribution. So, we cannot convey it because it is still in the process of being elected," explained Kang Emil. For information, the development of the MRT east-west spans 84.10 kilometers from Cikarang, West Java to Balaraja, Banten, by passing through the DKI Jakarta area. The MRT east-west development will be divided into 2 phases, namely phase 1 and phase 2. Phase 1 will be further divided into phase 1 along 24.52 kilometers which will go through Tomang, Dukuh Atas, Senen, Perintis to Medan Satria and stage 2 along 9.23 kilometers through Tomang and Kembangan. Meanwhile, the MRT east-west phase 2 route stretches along 29.99 kilometers through Kembangan, Kelapa Dua, to Balaraja.
