Women With Earthquakes Recorded CCTV Suspicious Cigarettes At Cakung Basic Food Shops

JAKARTA - The act of stealing cigarettes by pretending to be consumers in a grocery store occurred in the RT 05/17 area, Bridge Village, Milling, Cakung District, East Jakarta on Friday, February 17. The crime was committed by a middle-aged woman wearing an earthquake in red clothes entering a grocery store. He also pretended to order a number of groceries from the seller.

The perpetrator tricked the seller by asking for a number of items to distract the victim. After the victim was caught off guard, the perpetrator allegedly took several packs of cigarettes that were put into his bag.

After getting the target item, the perpetrators thwarted the purchase transaction for various reasons. Meanwhile, several packs of cigarettes are suspected of having entered his bag.

The perpetrator then left the shop. Then the seller at the suspicious grocery store finally returned to chase the perpetrator and stopped him. The victim only asked for the cigarette that was allegedly stolen by the perpetrator to be returned. The perpetrator then managed to escape.

For the theft, the victim has not made a police report at the Cakung Police.

Cakung Police Chief Kompol Syarifah Chaira confirmed the theft incident that had gone viral on social media. However, the victim has not made a police report regarding the theft.

"The owner has not reported yet, we are still waiting for the victim's report," he said briefly when contacted by VOI, Friday, February 16.
