JAKARTA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa said his meeting with the Minister of Defense who is also the General Chair of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto was just a regular gathering. "Yes, just gathering," said Khofifah as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 16. Previously, Prabowo Subianto and Khofifah Indar Parawansa met in Surabaya, East Java on Monday night. The meeting was held behind closed doors. The meeting was the second meeting, the first meeting took place on May 3, 2022. At that time, Prabowo visited Khofifah at the Grahadi State Building, Surabaya. However, Khofifah refused to explain the meeting specifically to discuss the preparations for the 2024 presidential election (pilpres). the history of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) to the story of Khofifah introducing moderate Islam in the Middle East. In fact, Prabowo also praised by saying that Khofifah has the ability at the level of the state and nation. However, the Governor of East Java did not want to give a statement after the meeting with Prabowo Subianto. Prabowo through his party, Gerindra previously had a coalition with PKB led by Muhaimin Iskandar. In the coalition named the Great Indonesia Awakening Coalition, the Gerindra Party firmly supports Prabowo as a presidential candidate. The same thing was also done by PKB by carrying Muhaimin Iskandar as a presidential candidate by PKB. Prabowo Subianto's name is the most famous national figure in the community according to the Populi Survey version. Populi Center researcher Nurul Fatin Afifah explained that the survey results said that Prabowo Subianto received 93.2 percent public votes, followed by Anies Baswedan 82.6 percent, and third Sandiaga Uno 78 percent.
